Something that is just so funny to me and that I don’t think we mention enough as a fandom: Aizawa and All Might had already met before the start of bnha and I don’t mean that as in Aizawa had met All Might as a hero (which he probably also had). I mean it as in he had met Yagi Toshinori.
There is an incident in Vigilantes where Aizawa, All Might and Tsukauchi are all involved and after the incident All Might introduces himself to Aizawa as a dude that works in All Might’s office and is Tsukauchi’s friend.
So just. Imagine Aizawa walking up to UA the day Nedzu wants to do the All Might reveal to the teachers and just finding Toshinori there and he’s like “Yagi, right? You are Tsukauchi’s friend from All Might’s office” and All Might is fucking loosing it on the spot and thinking “someone please end me now” cause we know how awkward he gets and because this was not part of the plan, what is Eraserhead of all people doing here???
And then they tell the teachers “this is All Might”. And the teachers are surprised. But Eraserhead and All Might?? They are having a moment and it’s not a good one.
For the four people out there who red Lost Fragments of Snow during the hiatus like it was a pristine glass of water in the middle of the desert you have been lost in for half a year and have kept reading the manga up till now: how we feeling?
about the delores thing. i think it’s the same as how… your parents stop ageing in your memory at a certain age? like for me, i know my mother is 50 but whenever i think of her, i picture her when she was in her late 30s because that image stuck with me.
same with my brothers. i know they’re 20 but every time they appear in my dreams, they’re always 9 and 11. and when i think of them, the image in my mind is always younger than what they look like irl.
idk why it’s like that but i suppose that’s how memories work? i’m sure there’s some psychological explanation. but i do think since five never saw delores age, he pictures her the same way he did when he was young. that, and also i’m sure it’s also a production thing since aidan was 17. maybe they didn’t want a minor kissing someone so much older (though i do think it’s more because five was young when he created delores’ image in his mind and it stuck that way. especially since the mannequin itself doesn’t really reflect the age of someone older 😂)

Can I interest you in an AU where Aizawa tries to woo Mic with horrible pickup lines from the internet, because he has no idea how else to do it? And mic thinks aizawa figured out his crush and is teasing him? Imagine he has a list of them and every so often heâll bust one out like Is there an airport nearby, or was that my heart taking off? Completely deadpan.
Mic kinda half-laughs sometimes but once in a while he shoots one back in an attempt to defend himself. Aizawa considers this progress
Eventually Kayama pulls him aside like as hilarious as it is to watch you roast him, I think youâre starting to hurt his feelings.
Aizawa:
Like he thought they were really getting somewhere and Mic is just weathering the storm.
Aizawa has to try something else, since the pickup lines didnât work. So he goes to the card store and gets the biggest, cheesiest I LOVE YOU bear in the whole place. The cashier asks him if he would like to add an audio message to the bear, and he says he would. Now the bear says âI love you beary muchâ in aizawaâs expressionless voice whenever you squeeze it.
Hizashi sleeps with it every night, even though heâs still not sure if Aizawa is making fun of him. but he took the bear so aizawa thinks heâs batting a thousand. Hizashi is a lot of work to win over but aizawa is used to working hard. Itâs worth it. Especially when he ends up in Micâs room for something or other and sees the bear on the bed - heâs in cloud freaking 9 because!! Success!! Meanwhile Mic is dying of mortification and praying for a villain with a murder quirk to show up and put him out of his misery. Aizawa thinks theyâre dating now. The bear has been accepted.
Now aizawa has to google âhow to be a good boyfriend.â
So Hizashi starts walking into the apartment after a long day of radio stuff and patrols to find Aizawa is just⊠standing in the dark doorway. Waiting. âTell me about your dayâ he demands, in the same tone he uses to interrogate criminals as Mic shrieks and drops all his stuff. He canât figure out what it is Shouta thinks he did, and if he did do it, and thereâs⊠something on the table. It looks like it was food once, before the war.
âI made dinnerâ says Aizawa, from behind him. The kitchen is not actively on fire but all the windows are open and a suspicious smokiness lingers. Itâs the middle of winter. There is snow in the apartment.
âThat was⊠so thoughtful of youâŠâ Mic says, putting his jacket back on.
Aizawa nods. Date night is a success. Another flawless victory, thanks to the internet. He had tried to cook along with a YouTube video but didnât understand some parts were cut out, to save time. Hizashi eats it anyway. This is what love is.
Aizawa had planned for them to watch a movie after dinner but it takes six hours to clean the kitchen. Most of the pots are unsalvageable. He wanted to make chocolate covered strawberries, but they were out of season. So dessert is one of those cans of mandarin orange slices with Hersheyâs syrup poured into it. Then Aizawa tried to light it on fire, for fanciness. It didnât burn.
Itâs still freezing cold in the apartment at bedtime, so Mic offers to share his bed so they can keep warm. âIs that moving too fast?â Aizawa asks. He really wants to, but Hizashi has been so slow to win over, he doesnât want to blow it by rushing.
Hizashi thinks heâs making fun of him again. âIâm not going to jump you in your sleep Shouta,â he grumbles, and aizawa nods. So itâs like that then. He makes sure to keep six inches between them, as a buffer. The perfect end to the perfect date. Heâs amazing at this.
Aizawa also sets phone alarms, so he remembers to do things like Text Hizashi To Ask About His Day. Hizashi has to get used to his 3pm âwhat are you doingâ text from aizawa. There are no follow up questions.
One of the things on the list of good boyfriend things to do was âcompliment your partner!â so Aizawa made a list of compliments to use and he texts mic one per day.
âYou keep the bathroom very neatâ
âYou always remember the name of the takeout placeâ
âYouâre very punctualâ
Hizashi, sobbing: I donât understand whatâs happening
The best part is that Hizashi already does all the good boyfriend things, so Aizawa thinks this relationship is going great!! Heâs a very lucky man.
Eventually, Mic just gets pushed too far. Aizawaâs daily 5pm compliment text was âyou look handsome todayâ and Hizashi just fucking snaps. He leaves work early and rushes home. Aizawa is in the kitchen trying to figure out how to cook a stir fry. After they finish with the fire extinguisher, Mic throws it aside and says âI canât take it anymoreâ and full on dips Aizawa into a kiss.
âFinally,â they both say afterwards. They think they mean the same thing, but they do not.
Ok but consider, fast forward some weeks and Mic is talking to Nemuri because âthey havenât put a label to it yetâ and heâs stressing cause what if Aizawa just wants to keep things casual? He knows they have been kissing and stuff for a while now but maybe they just donât want the same thing and Aizawa just trusts him like that.
So some time passes and again Mic just, snaps one day and is like âwe need to talkâ as in he wants to make things official.
Meanwhile Aizawa is panicking because what could he have possibly done wrong to make his beloved boyfriend say that phrase?? Does he want to break up?? (heâs learned itâs a bad thing from all the romcom movies heâs been seeing for documentation purposes).
Then again they end up talking and Mic goes âdo you want us to be boyfriends?â cause thatâs what he wants. And there is Aizawa, looking as worried and stressed as he can muster like âdo you not?â.
And Mic, sweet innocent Mic is like âyes of course I want to but is that what you want?â and Aizawa is just even more mortified because what has he fucked up enough that Mic thinks he doesnât want to keep going with the relationship??
So he just tells him that of course he want to be his boyfriend, why wouldnât he? And Mic is just the happiest because they finally made it official and he kisses Aizawa who right now looks a bit worried and confused and goes âso are we ok?â
Mic is so excited and giddy and they are hugging and just blurts âOf course weâre ok!! Weâre finally msking things official, I didnât know if thatâs what you wanted!â cause heâs been climbing up the walls for the past few weeks about this.
To which Aizawa just grabs him by the shoulders to properly look at him for a sec before giving him the most confused look as if Mic had just grown a second head and deadpans âweâve been dating for the past five months, what on earth are you talking about??â
Been doing a lot of animatics lately (none of which are finished) so here are some sketchy bits of the boys being in pain since, apparently, tis the season for that.
I’m kind of shocked by the way the fandom has reacted to Mic’s decision in the last chapter because I think it is VERY in character for him to do that.
